DRAWING / PAINTING / PHOTOGRAPHS / WRITING
Recording is about capturing things you see and imagine in a variety of ways. The most straight forward was is with drawing in pencil, but you can use any type of medium available, even take photos and write! Use your drawings to show what you are thinking about with your project and what is inspiring you. Use it to see if ideas work or not, or even just to show off how good you are getting at drawing.
I always advise students to start off doing a wide variety of sketches to see what you like the most. Then you can do various images on the same theme as you are trying to get better at it. Be careful! Don't draw the same picture over and over again as it becomes repetitive.
TASK: Do a drawing of an object of your choice for: 1 minute, 5 minutes, 20 minutes, 1 hour. Can you see a difference in the drawings?
For each project you will have a variety of images that you will need to capture from your teacher. But you can use the links below to practice a variety of techniques (copy and paste in to the address bar).
